Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

So what’s happening in Feb?

Some say 10% WFR, others say 30%

I am in ISG and doing server development. Lots of my former teammate already move to AMD or NV. We are under staff. I feel my job is secure. I really don't cre 10% or 20% WFR.
Do you see your problem now? You need the cutting edage skill to survive.

@d3 tbh, a modernisation of our systems is necessary in any case.
I'm fed up with customers reaching out to ask why the order they placed online one week ago is not confirmed yet.
And it's frankly embarrassing to tell them the reason is backlog, because there's a team of humans who need to manually recreate the orders they place online.
This is an ecommerce experience that comes straight from the 90s. Too bad it's 2025.

Mergers and acquisition talk will be coming. Dell is modernizing their system and trimming the fat to make the company look more attractive. Don’t be a sheep! Wake up and recognize we are feeding the beast at our own expense!!

Probably just another, and typical 2000 employees or so. Like it's been for the last 6 years.

@a2 "confirmed?" lol by who? Unless you are JC then nothing is "confirmed" lmfao. There is zero percent chance they plan to axe 9.8 thousand employees in February. A few thousand sure, but not 10%.

10% reduction from last reported number is already in works.. 108k - 10% is confirmed. It is likely they’ll stick to the 10% reduction trends..
