@b4 true :(. I was displaced on Sept 30th. I have applied to 20 positions, got 2 screens, no interview with the hiring manager :(. My former boss is nice enough to recommend me. I have been a top performer. I feel that internal applicants are treated with a lot of indifference...
6 months ago when they displaced our manager his leader looked us straight in the face and promised us that none of us would be part of a displacement. We'll here we are displaced. WF leaders are special to say the least. They lie to customers as well as employees. Karma comes full circle so when they are in this situation they might rethink their future leadership approach. Keep lying, keep gaslighting, keep having inconsistent policies abd procedures, keep lying to regulators, keep the people who tell the truth locked in a room silencedbecause you dont want to actually address the problems and rather bandaid and react to them with broken fixes.
@bp By the smell of the floor at lunch time, I'd have to agree with you.
All Americans must go. Wellsfargo is AI (All Indian) company.
@b1 not buying what? It is true that some were notified in advance. It is also true that this was off-cyle and mid pay cycle.
@b9 you must not have a clue what occurred today. It had NOTHING to do with in office requirements. Go troll another blog that is suitable for senseless comments
@b9 who is a whiny baby not wanting to go into work? The displacement had ZERO to do with return to office. Wallow in that because your statement in unfounded.
@b9. Way to point out the obvious. Severance is a main reason people who gave their best years for this company deserve it and WON’T leave without the benefit we have worked for all of these years!
WF has had a great severance since merger with NORWEST!
can confirm in concord ca office
just seen folks leaving with boxes
Most places give little to no severance not that the whiny babies on here who think being forced to actually come to work will appreciate that fact, as they wallow in their self pity.
Hate to break it to you but Wells has an EXCELLENT severance package. Friend's friend was cut after 19 years somewhere and simply given 90 days notice. No severance.
@a6 yes more are coming
@a4 wonder why HR is present with some and not others. The managers are sub par at best but trusted to say the right thing when firing you. The company continues to have inconsistent standards so they will continue to face legal issues.
@aj far far more than 10. Some really solid talent that was often under appreciated. Par for the course considering who the executive is. If anyone looks at the case by case situation you will see a severe trend in decisions that are enough to rock someone's mind. Wells Fargo will fire anyone who has a less than glowing opinion of their Leaders instead of firing the terrible Leaders themselves.
Many of us were part of the firing today. No such thing as layoff if you are not offered to return. Cutting headcount like this is a financial decision. It had nothing to do with location. Why were some pre-warned and others weren't. Leaders had an offsite several weeks ago so the decisions were final for some time. A measly 2 weeks per year of service and the severance notice gives no information about accrued PTO payout, how it happens or when, terrible guidance on next steps or how to navigate the process. A company that beats you down, works you until you are literally crying, and gaslights you if you speak up could care less about you especially during the holidays that are fast approaching. Many of the "displaced" people could have been offered a different job internally based on the thousands of jobs posted but Wells did nothing to consider that option. Typical for a company that wont even screen internal candidates when they apply for a job posting.
EBCE USA got pre-notices 10.14.25. They got cut officially today. Know this for sure as multiple friends cut in several locations. Don't know exact numbers, but it was 120 to 150 that got pre-noticed..and we are hearing the I&P EBCE had several hundred also cut today.
Not buying it. They are done when they are done because it works out with pay period start and end dates. Holiday changing that makes zero sense.
@a5 I had my suspicions but I’m curious how you are sure about EBCE specifically?
Can confirm a former co-worker was part of Compliance (Charlotte) displacements today.
Consumer Compliance just got hit pretty hard today. I am not sure the total the total number of people but I do know of 10 personally. It had nothing to do with location strategy but was all "efficiency" based. There was no reason given why the people chosen were chosen- just that they were no longer here.
@a5 EBCE already got the notice. Are you saying there may be additional?
What group? I know EBCE may be notified today.
Yep; with HR present :)
and the term layoff is in that meeting subject? Could just be a meeting.
