Visitor Feedback: Recent ABU Gorgon BWI Indian ENGINE Supervisors Visit

The recent visit from the Indian ENGINE supervisors to ABU Gorgon BWI raised several concerns:

• Lack of Preparation: The visitors arrived without a clear agenda or plans.
• Limited LNG Experience: Demonstrated minimal familiarity with LNG operations, which is critical for their roles.
• Technical Gaps: Showed limited technical knowledge and was unable to address basic questions regarding both short- and long-term ENGINE transition strategies.
• Communication Issues: Communication skills were notably poor, leading to confusion and lack of clarity during discussions.
• Professional Impact: The visit was perceived as embarrassing by BWI personnel, including experienced EXPAT ENGINE supervisors.

This visit has unfortunately undermined any confidence in the ongoing ENGINE recruitment efforts in Bengaluru.

Has any other BUs or CVX sites had similar recent concerns?

@d3 Yes - Significant down-voting for this thread, commenced at Bengaluru Local Time: in line with ENGINE working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.

We know the truth!

It wasn’t that long ago Chevron encouraged feedback, now no longer applicable for ENGINE personnel!

Wow think the Engine worker mostly just reviewing comments here having to do with the Engine and teaming to down vote with a fury. At least they can get results here.

@b2 PT constructive feedback should not be ignored! Take action, address the issues and use it as a lessons learnt, before visiting the US

Sad but not surprising. On par with experience with offshore developers in the digital products space. Clearly someone is selectively sharing offshore "success stories" upward

How pathetic - if only you go and work instead of making up BS here, this would be a better place to work!

@ac accountability will only reside in one place. Hint it's not ENGINE or LT...

This is sad to hear. What a dismal future we have with the new level of support. The remaining staff will be covering the work not performed by these lazy Chevron workers from the ENGINE.

Was in a training course on a certain ABU process recently where a stack of them were no-shows (on Teams) and their colleagues had to go grab them, making the thing start late. Their cameras were on and off constantly, as though they weren't fully present. Pretty terrible first impression and doesn't bode well for trust and accountability.
