@b2 I feel for them on a human level, but at the same time, it's hard to feel bad for someone making THAT much money

Our VP was let go after being tasked eith laying off dozens of people. At the end of the week of them going through the torture of the calls, they were told they were gone too. Used one last time. Lame.
It’s almost funny that the number and layers of VPs hasn’t changed much… been mostly SDs, directors, and PEs
@ah good chance they are getting hit too and had checked out
Mine was with a VP. But my manage(who was a director) knew weeks prior that I was getting laid off. He stopped communicating with me entirely two weeks prior to my layoff. Ignored my emails, didn’t show ip for any meetings, ignored my Slacks, so I knew exactly what was happening.
@ab re-org is still a work in progress
Could any of this meetings be for re org? Or is all layoffs?
You only meet with a VP if you are a Sr Dir (or above) and being laid off
Everyone else meets with a Sr Dir
When I was let go last year it was with a SD who wasnt even in my reporting line...... either way I know its tough but everything will be okay. Dont beat yourself up or take it too personal since its really just an excel exercise to meet some "magic number".
I let the process impact me too much and dont want others to feel the same. I know its hard but try to stay positive and maybe its a blessing as your next role is exactly what you are looking for.
Nope, mine is with the janitor!!!
JK…SR. D.
I've got a meeting with a Sr. Director at 11...
@a2 because your manager doesn’t know
Mine is with Sr Dr not in my team.
@a2 it might be because your manager is out as well?
It's either a VP or SD.
Yeah mine is with a senior director too, not sure why not with my manager?
Nope, mine was with a senior director
