Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Better watch out …..

The goal to let people go is a different feel now they will look for every little reason to fire someone and to make sure the severance cost plummets so make sure you hit your goals office expectations etc yes I know this is old news but it isn’t because it is a real goal so look for more firings in 2026

This is definitely true. Have worked at WF for over 20+ years.....the writing is on the walls. Everything will get you let go anymore without severance..

Oh, this is so scary. I can't believe how much emotional stress this added to my life.

LOL at this fearmongering.

@ah " If you have more degrees and experience than your mgr you are in danger."

Well said, bad managers feel threatened by employees smarter than them and would try everything possible to push those high quality employee out at the cost of the company in order to keep their positions. D1na R0jas is one of the perfect examples and her team has high turnover rate.

It was over for me on Dec 2nd. The set up was pushed heavily beginning Jan 25. I was bottom of the list 23 to 25 of stack ranking after 14 years of progressive upward promotions. I did nothing more than take a promotion that the hiring mgr over-hired above what work needed (over-qualified directs and under-qualified mgrs) and be the least favorite on the team because mgr favored their own outside hires because of their own ego and under-qualifications. Moved mgrs 2 more times and was also the least favorite. If you have more degrees and experience than your mgr you are in danger. Tried to move out lateral or lower and without mgr approval you can never move out. Even former mgr reference did not help because IM means career death.
So basically once you fall in the proverbial hole you only leave on your own or get fired. My mistake was seeking a promotion in a company that shifted to a toxic culture. If you have a great team/mgr you are blessed so do not leave it or take the risk of ending up at bottom like me because the goal is to find someone to place at the bottom.
