Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Sapphire Orlando was somewhat embarrassing

A considerable number of DXC colleagues travelled to Sapphire Orlando from around the world yet the DXC stand saw remarkably little activity throughout the event. In contrast neighbouring supplier stands were consistently busy and well engaged with customers. It was disappointing to see such limited interest at our stand and it speaks volumes about where DXC currently stands in the market.

@17s No wonder they never sell projects with runaway change requests at lucrative incremental revenue. Most of their projects they sell flatline straight into the graveyard before the client even signs the paperwork.

@cw DXC selling SAP services while outsourcing its own SAP work to other suppliers is an incredible confidence signal. They looked at their own SAP practice and said: ‘Let’s call someone else’. They should present this as a case study at the next Sapphire.

It's an embarrassment just working for this company a lot of the time. I tell people how I'm treated and what goes on and they think it's a farce. But then I say half the time I have nothing to do, and they say oh well just take the money if your management are that stupid. I thought it would be short term, but it seems to have become a battle of wills of who will flinch first. Given that I can go from week to week without so much as a hello how are you from my colleagues - I assume they've forgotten about me, so cannot expect me to be just sitting waiting for a message ready to respond instantly. I think 2 or 3 times a day is fair enough, and they might get lucky when I'm sitting doing other things.

The other players there, the staff were well treated, and paid enough to buy a smart suit, on a relaxed jolly. At DXC despite being asked to attend, it would have been a fight to get travel approval passed 25 layers. Meals limited to $20, and go $1 over budget and the whole thing is rejected. You wonder why they look like they don't want to be there.

The DXC SAP Sales team - Have you seen them?
They look more like geriatric Addams family cos players at a comic-con convention, with less taste.
