Remember when that was a thing? Now they scheduled a mandatory meeting for Friday at 4 PM. Then they cancelled it at 3:55. Then they rescheduled it for Monday at 8 AM. That's the new culture.

@ag I guess you don't work with teams in the land of dots. Work starts way earlier than 8:00am my friend when you're cleaning up messes overseas

That is a prime example of out of touch, disorganized leadership. Typically, negative announcements will come at the end of the day, at the end of the week so people have the weekend to calm down. Whenever we had to let staff go it would be discussed on a Friday at end of the day to prevent blow back. Doubtful that management is going to announce a 10% pay increase on Friday afternoon.
