Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Are we still looking at layoffs any time from now until March?

It would be great to know more. The uncertainty and anticipation are ten times worse than just losing your job today.

@ag Not all true. Field HR will be reduced. There will be one per “region” (downgrading region store count but increase area store count).
HCS will report to DM with DM still full box but HCS over the pharmacy. Scheduler will flex into DM admin to support increase in stores but still report to HCS. DPR role eliminated as they slow the execution from the support center.

Change is coming. Next week. effective 2/2. HR/ER combined. HCS will now be in stores to help support pharmacy demands. Bye one box. DMs elevated.

I understand people need their jobs and the uncertainty is tough to bear. After another mentally exhausting day in the call center, listening to back-to-back calls from upset patients while unable to assist them in any meaningful way, I would almost welcome having Walgreens make the decision to leave for me. The state of our pharmacies makes our operation a complete excr-ment show and only getting worse. Still waiting for that turnaround by Sycamore to happen.

People are just hoping for a good severance or retirement from this dumpster fire. I know many that are begging they get either.
