They do, thing is a lot of companies won't pay towards the top part of the range and have a budget within the range anymore. Maybe they are just trying to see what is standard here (ex. most offers are at 10% below the midpoint) and how much negotiating power they have.

OP-Depends on where in the org too. I know some tech people over 200K with their bonus, but maybe not as much in other parts.

Starting is in the $130k range off hand. Bonuses can vary dramatically. Could be $20k or $80k.
