I am in HR. I haven’t heard anything about 4 days or 8 hours? Anyone else in HR hear about this? Does it apply to the HR LOB?

CL town hall today said reiteration of existing policy. Said something about people leaving and than not even working from home. Nothing about tracking or anything new. But said 8 is the expectation but understands exceptions. So..is the tracking company wide if at all, no idea.
@aq nothing about 8 hours. This is the same guidance as always. There it is
Can confirm I’m in HR and heard we might be exempt from 4 days and hours
HR should be role models. 5 days a week, 8 hours.
No most of the people that sit in HR on my floor leave after 3 hours in the buildings I’m in
F their hours and F their offices. FHY.
I’m not in HR, but in our LOB we were warned much earlier this year that a “full day” was the expectation, without being given a concrete definition of how much time qualifies (most managers have told their directs to do 8 hours to be safe). Seemed mostly like that warning was triggered by people complaining that they’ve seen others always leaving early and/or senior leaders visiting an office and not being happy with how many people were still there at 3 pm.
Myself at least, I have not seen any further updates regarding that recently, nor have I heard from my manager or anybody else about specific time tracking being a thing they have access to yet. I’ve mostly tried to stay 8 hours when I come in this year, but a small handful of days here and there I’ve left after maybe 6-7 without bothering to tell my manager, and I haven’t heard anything about it. I get the vibe they’re still worried mostly about the most egregious offenders, although maybe that’s soon to change for us too, with all the chatter on this site from other LOBs.
Our OC member was asked about 4 days at a town hall the other week and he said the LOBs that have announced that did so based on decisions made by their individual OC members. He did not rule it out ever happening for us, but he did say that if they ever made that decision, we’d be given warning well before the increase went into effect.
@ag And there it is. For anyone who can't find it- Teamworks/HR Center/View all HR tools and then search "In Office guidance for managers of US based employees" and it pops right up. 8 hours is a full workday per expectations.
@ag I did just that and see nothing that you mentioned. There is no KB article “in office guidance for managers” - what is the KB number?
@ag Does not exist
Search HR service & support site for “in office guidance for managers” and you’ll find all the info
@a4 they could be shown the door soon and not laid off. Fired for cause.
It’s going company wise. You just have heard her. Mostly 8 hours in office. Some orgs going to 4 days.
I was told last week that the requirement is 7-8 hours, at minimum 6 for our line of business. The new reporting shows both badge in and badge out time, pings location, and shows activity (or lack of) whether it’s actual activity or just a mouse movement. You can thank the person who coffee badged in front of Scott Powell.
Got my congratulations on 23 years of dedicated service ecard today, followed by a layoff notice call from manager. How stupid!
8 hours is enterprise expectation. Days in office is up to the OC leader.
I work in HR and we were told by our manager about the 8 hour requirement last week a that we were expected to follow it too.
To WFB management: Show me a written policy addressing specific in-office requirements for non-hourly employees or stop wasting my time.
@a4 they're good at rubber stamping accommodations
Seriously what do they even do? My friend who works there brags about literally works 2 hours a day and coffee badges half the time.
HR is exempt from all policies and are free to do what they want.
