Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

One good thing

The only silver lining is that severance seems to be staying as is. That's always been my biggest concern when layoffs happen.

I got laid off last month. The severance is 2 months for each year of service, but it tops out at one year of salary (I have more than 26 years of service). I don't know if you can negotiate for more, but I am getting ready to retire so I just wanted to get my severance asap.

FIS will cover our COBRA medical and dental insurances, but not vision and EAP, for 3 months. The premium for Vision and EAP combined is less than 20 dollars a month so I don't know why FIS wouldn't cover them, but this is FIS we are talking about here.

@af Yes. It's 2 weeks per year with a minimum amount of severance depending on the level

My understanding is the three months of COBRA for medical, dental and EAP are included. If anyone can confirm, that would be great.

@OP Good to hear they are being decent but what is the severance?

@OP Are you hearing the standard 2 weeks per full year of service?
