This place is garbage. The employees are mediocre at best. I don't respect a single person I've worked with here. If you want no growth and endless politics for a decade, this is your spot.

Of course there are some mediocre people here, but there are plenty of solid ones too. I think the bigger problem is that the best people are not valued so go to work elsewhere. I personally find it frustrating that more senior people who have worked here a while cop this attitude that they have "tenure" and simply coast and clip their high, above market coupon for their oft-below-average skillset. This is where much of the mediocrity creeps in - it's mostly at the senior and manager ranks.
If you’ve never met anyone here you can respect it means you’re not meeting the right people.
Or perhaps the right people are avoiding you - from the post I’d say that’s for good reason.

If you weren’t mediocre, you’d be working somewhere else, right? Sorry you work in a cr-ppy business unit, but I know a ton of brilliant people here. Maybe if you weren’t so high on your own farts that don’t stink, you’d see that too.
