Does this count against 8 hours? Feel like a child having to even ask this question.

One more reason that we know that all those alleged justifications were BS and it was really about voluntary attrition rates all along. Every single decision. When Shart wipes his azz, he first considers whether folded or crumpled bu++ wipe will result in the most resignations.
That can't be how PTO works or no one could take more than 2 days off in a week without getting in trouble for not meeting 3x8. Maybe it just misinterpreted your post.
when the cashier don't satisfact they customer I can't focus for the rest of the day so I just have to go home.
@ah, not everywhere. Everyone keeps forgetting how fragmented WF is. Just because it’s being done in one area of one LoB or even across an entire LoN does NOT mean it is being done everywhere. I know for an absolute FACT corporate risk is not tracking at that level.
Baby welcome to the hourly rate club. The branches need you.
@af when you say half day will not be in your 3x8 does that mean they are averaging 16 hours against three days still?
I’ll keep taking an hour lunch while others fantasize about keystroke logging and the imagined surveillance state
@a6 no and no - this is all wrong
@an speaking of dining facilities, Wells must be making a fortune off of this RTO mandate through parking and food purchases.
Remember when we were supposed to come back to the office to support the local businesses? Then Wells promptly undercut those businesses by offering their own food hall. The jokes write themselves with this place.
@a6 so pack a lunch cause some of the sites don't have dinning facilities
@ah they do not track keystrokes. Stop repeating this nonsense.
@af As someone who has access to the reporting showing in-office days, hours, and digital activity… I can confirm that this vehemently incorrect.
They are absolutely tracking keystrokes, time spent unmuted/on camera/etc. on teams, etc.
Af here again. Dashboards are not ready yet. Current in office dashboard at some point will be updated.
No current punishment for avg of <8.
4 week avg hinted as kpi.
Manager training going on right now.
For badge out offices, last badge out - first badge in = time in office.
For other offices, last logged in to office network - first logged in to office network = time in office.
Half day pto still counts as day in office but will not be in your 3x8.
Cannot do 5x5x5x5x5 to meet it. Must be 8x8x8. Can do 9-8-7.
Computer activity not used to track.
Can come in early to build hours.
@a6 @a6 You're conflating in-office expectations and and digital activity; they are not the same thing. Digital activity has yet to be defined and/or had expectations set.
Achieving 8 hours of digital activity would require more than 8 hours of in-office time assuming the person eats food, uses the restroom, and even gasp collaborates with others.
@a6 are they good enough dashboards for managers to view this holistically? The 2 reports? Is productivity apps, teams, code commits, training? What guidance are they being given to understand the whole context? For example meetings outside of teams, is events part of how they tracked? How can they guide employees without a clear understanding themselves? This is all absurd.
We are back in kindergarten for sure. This BS is asking for a lawsuit. We are not hourly employees.
It’s absurd that exempt employees even have to wonder about this. Lunch and breaks were never even a thought. You came in, do your work, meetings, etc Now are we gonna have to think about lunch, taking a pi$$ or whatever. This is bullsh1t. We’re not hourly employees.
Bait’n in the bathroom should be fine if I’m physically in the building right?
Yes and no.
First there is the 8 hours in office requirement, lunch doesn’t count against that.
Second there is the productivity software measuring how many hours you actually are working. Your lunch does cut into that.
So if you go in at 8am and leave at 4pm with an hour lunch, you met the in office requirement, but having only worked 7 hours you didn’t fulfill the 8 hours of work.
Guess it depends. Are we talking about the typical 30 min to an hour lunch most people take? Or are we talking about a four hour lunch in order to avoid being in the office as much as possible, which the deadbeats will absolutely certainly do if they were allowed to get away with it?
No, they take first in, last out.
Probably, just like actually using stupid campus amenities like walking trails, pickleball courts, and whatever else they come up with that I don't have time to do anyway.
It's a question that keeps being asked....so crazy to be on edge to step away for a lunch or restroom break, right? Back when-- we were in the office 5 days/8hrs--this was never an issue. someone mentioned that keystrokes being monitored---SMDH!
