Strip everything down to the bone so it falls apart is their plan so they can 100% outsource to India.

@ww MC, AG, LC, KG: does a single one of them have a meaningful profile in the IT industry?

Having MC leading data, even as an interim, is really hilarious as well

The whole IT group is so fuhked

@ph I had my first ever experience with KG in a meeting two weeks ago and came away assured that ITOF is doomed with him at the head. A whole bunch of nonsensical buzzwords and refusal to acknowledge that he doesn’t know what’s being talked about. Hiring LC must have been a strategic by MW to justify completely outsourcing IT as some point soon.

KG is 100 years old and doesn’t know what company he works for. He is so senile that he spoke at a Manila townhall about how everyone should feel great about working at General Motors.

The 20 major IT incidents in 2 months is all you need to know about how severely unqualified the guy is at PSG 29.

LC and his cronies are a damn joke.

Anyone had much interaction with KG and JR yet? How do they compare to their predecessors?

@e5 happen to who? Also, this is leaderships fault, at Mike Wirth level, they sent the order and everyone followed. We just have to wait until the data proves this sh-t is bad. Everyone just let it fail and let the engine fix it.

@c0 it’s not just the ioc. It’s all of midland that’s out.

IT doesn’t matter. Something would have to explòde and someone would have to díè before anyone would give a sh!ț.

Couldn't have happened to a better BUDM. Hopefully her decisions continue to get exposed.

So what exactly going on? Why can’t I connect at the midland office? It’s been down for nearly 24 hours

@ch Right Engine is trying to fix but can because all they people to tell them what to do are gone - writing is on the wall

Don’t worry MCBU got rid of all its IT people because engine is fixing it all and all we need is AI.

@by you must not be in IT or ever worked for MCBU or even been to the field.

You do know we’ve operated without the IOC before right? There are still local servers in the field monitored by the field operating teams. They can see.

@bx well, whether it’s a big impact or little impact, psychology 101 says that BN and MN will care when your whole midland staff has to work from home for extended period of time because there’s no internet in the IOC.

@af this is true, however it’s going to take a A LOT of major incidents to catch up to the billions we’re saving in laying people off.

No matter how you slice it, the up front costs is way more than the effects of layoffs. That loss of productivity will need to be shown/documented and shown over the next 3 years. You think people are going to have that on their PMP nope. Everyone will do what they can to keep things working so they can get a promo, raise etc. it’s psychology 101, someone will care enough, because there’s always someone who is willing to do more for less.

@aj yea but AI isn’t even in IT anymore. You have to go ask CNE for help! roflmao

Loss of productivity is loss of "money", my friend.

@a9 actually it did. When you pay suppliers to be on site to do a job, and they can’t do the job because there’s no network. Send them home, I guess.
