Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hanging out

It's so easy to stay on the payroll doing the very minimum work just to not get fired while taking as many paid days off for all the many reasons we can easily get away with. See, the difference between many of us and the bootlickers is that we just don't give a fck. We know we can't be fired and some day we'll be surplussed and when that happens, which it inevitably will, well celebrate and move on with our nice termination pay, which is much better than the bootlickers get. lol

@ae they tried standardizing work trucks 15 or 20 years ago... labeled all the bins so jacks would be here, scotchlocks here, NIDs there, etc... it did not work! Men are not machines, as much as the billionaires wish we were! The program was abandoned before it was fully implemented.

It really is surprisingly easy to do just enough to not get fired. I basically put in about an hours worth of work today.

Going to be no more assigned trucks pretty soon. No more taking them home. Have to go to the yard every day, find a truck, checkout all tools and equipment. How would you all feel?
And for the record, I’ve done your tech job and far worse. I’m an exempt employee, not a manager as I manage no one nor do my decisions impact any employee, as are just about ALL the people working at an office. Stop the back and forth on this, it’s a workers rights conversation. People in offices want an assigned desk if we are going to be here every day. They want normalcy. If one of you techs had to sit in some of these corporate offices, you’d be filing grievances daily.
