Thread regarding PNC layoffs

PNC is so stingy

Sorry, just needed to vent. This company is so stingy. I cannot believe they don’t reimburse lunch while traveling for business and have certain hours for dinner. I arrived at my hotel at 11:30 starving because I have been flying since 5 pm and I literally just a bunch of single serve creamers to try to deal with my hunger pangs.
Also, almost no one in my department seems to know what they are doing. They pay cr-p so all they can afford are inexperienced people. The poor analysts are bombarded with too many deals. Hire more people at entry level. Their salaries are the lowest.

Should have known how stingy this place based on their branches. Hated being a customer at a branch with no teller. The ATM and virtual teller constantly glitched out. Ugh!

Not sure what dept you work in but none of my dinners have ever not been covered. Even ones that 80+. Granted I don’t usually eat breakfast on company unless it’s a protein bar.

I have expensed and been paid for dinners that cashed out after 9 PM. As long as you’re under the spending limit, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

I have not worried about the time at which I had dinner and guess what - every expense report has been approved. It isn’t even going to attract attention if your dinner spend is below the threshold that requires a receipt. Problem solved.

@a7 so, just to clarify further: YOU denied yourself FOOD because the COMPANY wouldn’t pay for it after 9:00 pm? Dude….. I’m not sure you have the appropriate critical thinking skills for a job that requires sufficient discernment to decide when and if to, you know, EAT. $10 at a Wendy’s would avoid survival mode.

Appreciate the venting, but if your lifestyle is such that every know and then you “only” get $40 for dinner and $20 for breakfast, you’re doing pretty well. Companies don’t generally pay for lunch whether traveling or not, unless it’s a business meeting. “Ya gotta eat lunch regardless” ok fine, so why pay for other meals? I traveled for decades…. Dinner was often a club sandwich and a warm soda in my room. Throw some nuts in your bag and do a bit of planning, you’ll be fine.

@ae I don't work for this company but work for an international tech company. It's toxic everywhere. AI is taking over jobs and everyone is watching out for themselves. You can't blame them since everyone needs to put food on the table and roof over their heads.

To clarify, I am hungry because I was only allowed to use my dinner money until 9 PM. $40 doesn’t go far for dinner. And only $20 for breakfast.
