Did your org protect managers by turning them ICs, and their RnRs remain almost (or) the same?
While good engineers doing the job are seeing the exit doors, there's still room to protect the friends

@ad
It feels like the US, Canada, Europe, and even Australia are suffocating.
Yep, they keep their grade and salary too, while more deserving workers get 5H!T on.
We are the backbone of this company. We make the wheels turn in the right direction, keep our employees grounded and make things happen. Without us FLMs we would be a mess. You are welcome
To kick them out later
@bq same here. Got a new manager after last year's cpm. Don't know how the he-l he even became a manager in the first place. Acts like a spoiled brat, only hears what he wants to hear and talks up a storm with made up sh-t. Half of my time is spent cleaning up his mess.
@fw But Def Met remains untouched? Come on
Intel's chief problem is competency and entitlement. It needs to get worse before it can get better. Bring on the next round!
Reshuffle the favoritism deck golfing buddies ! FnLosers most of them ! Can't troubleshoot how to dispense a free cup of coffee ! Knee deep in cronyism !
@fz I have regular 1 on 1s with my team. They always say they like me and my management style. Beyond that I have no job responsibilities. You can hate it
@fw Just because you call yourself “one of the best managers” and received awards, doesn’t necessarily make you a good manager. Part of Intel’s problem is rewarding bad managers with awards etc. Just sayin’
I am a manager and have been one of the best managers receiving many awards for my leadership. There are many bad managers who have been CPMd or demoted themselves to ICs to avoid CPM
@fs STFU nobody cares what you are clueless about
Doing the corporate shuffle. Change job codes to protect and isolate. This happens when senior "leadership" doesn't know how operations really run - that or they are taking advice from hired shills (consultants).
Saw that in my team too. About half the team let go, manager became an IC.
Yes I saw that in validation groups were they converted first level managers or even second level to ic
We have some of the worst, incompetent, parasitic, only care about themselves, dont know a thing managers. My manager can be managed by an intern
They’re needed for their key mousing skills. As the saying goes M-IC KEY MOUSE
All over director sr manager manager were turned into IC to protect them. Most are not technical enough. This is the Intel way and we have protected medicracy for many years. Not surprised.
Report to HR if it bothers you but line up next job since you will be next on list.
I'm dead weight but 100% US Prime re----k. I'll keep su-king the te-t thank you very much.
Gosh bless America!
The smart people already left. If you are still there, either you have a family to take care of (which I respect), or bills to pay (which I understand), or you are just dead weight that should be shipped back to India (take the smell with you).
