Severance papers signed and looking forward to my 6 months of free money. Over 25 years spent at O and now it feels like a divorce, in a good way. It is time to move on and enjoy my early retirement. So glad this chapter is over!

Not far behind the OP. Just trying to time it for max benefit to me (RSUs + severance) and my team (save jobs for one or two teammates).

@dg it's the same practice either way... calling people names is calling people names. The perceived severity of the names will always vary from person to person.

You are not hitting income tax yet. get prepared. Oracle's severance is nothing. I am working to sue Oracle for h1 fraud and severance/benefits
@am OP was probably referring to the 6 month severance, with is subject to income & FICA taxes.
