I'm now thoroughly confused. Is today the main layoff day or not?

@bf WARN act becomes public info and then that makes the news. Example UPS is laying off thousands and it is all over the news. Make the news and your stock falls. Cigna is laying off to improve their stock position. They don't want to be in the news.
@ar that is the best news I heard if it is true
@ae I’m ignorant and just looked up the WARN act, why would one want to avoid it though
@b8 I don’t think this is now a Cigna policy. I would be willing to bet it’s part of the tactical plan for some organizations to hit their overall number.
It makes sense in many cases but to other posters points depends on what all you are responsible for.
@b7 sorry.. not sure if I want to give more identifying info, never know who's reading. I did talk to another employee in a similar situation (sr. manager managed less than 5) and they were also restructured to bump up to 5. so, not just our team
@a5 which part of the org are you in? I’m a Sr. Manager who hasn’t been cut (yet) but only have 3 directs + a bunch of other responsibilities…
Bold move? Who you protecting. We're just numbers, clearly.
@OP 65 people JE’d in Marketing today with some senior leaders gone - flattening management layers
This is "a" layoff day. One of many. I would not count on subsequent layoff days to be lesser.
They're replacing a lot of positions with AI
From this AI provider specifically: https://hippocraticai.com/
@ac Premium CM was impacted
@ad p Harley did get the email. I’m in ESI
who the he-l laysoff nurses at a health company jfc.
@ad I work in front End pharm and I got an email, no layoffs so far though
@ar putting someone's whole business out here. bold move.
Does anyone know which dental teams are being affected?
Utilization Review nurses have also been affected.
Mary Picerno was eliminated.
What about frontline workers such as dental who take calls from members or providers
Which part of the dental org?
@am is this 18 total in all of dental?
@ah Yes Dental is included and eliminated about 18 positions including the managing director.
@ah yes
@a1 the Case Managers have a team of PA'S that work with them, wondering if any of those PA'S were laid off????
Does anyone know if dental is included?
Does anyone know what areas are impacted?
@a9 Sorry to head this. I hope you will land in a better place for you. Good luck!
@a4 and still stealthily avoiding the WARN Act
@a2 pharmacy didn’t get this email
Any word on premium CM?
@a1 Any idea why these specific clinical areas are being reduced?
@a9 Same here. Best of luck to you!
Got cut. Blessing truly. I wish you all the best and find something better.
@a7 senior managers. my manager only had 2 direct reports before, we are absorbing some people from different teams across the org with similar roles
@a5 senior managers must have 5 directs or senior directors?
Oncology, maternity, and transplant CM are impacted. Mary picerno is impacted.
yes, just heard my team is absorbing the remnants of another team. still not sure who they are exactly, just got this info as a "leak" from someone in the know. learning that senior managers must now have a minimum of 5 directs reports
2,000 laid off through February.
Reliable sources reporting another 10K+ this year.
Yup I know several people that have called me and let me know.
The head of our HR sent out an email this morning explaining the layoffs, which many in this forum have shared snippets of already. Put 2 and 2 together…
