Is there any recourse if you didn't EOI?

You should claim that you were unlawfully discriminated or retaliated against by not being severed by the company.
@b1 I'd bet 2027 unless we buy someone or get bought out. Either of those things happen, another round right after integration.
@ar Don't know about labour law in the US, but in Canada being moved to a different role against your will could be considered constructive dismissal.

Definition of constructive dismissal
The phrase "constructive dismissal" describes situations where the employer has not directly fired the employee. Rather the employer has:
failed to comply with the contract of employment in a major respect
unilaterally changed the terms of employment, or
expressed a settled intention to do either thus forcing the employee to quit
Constructive dismissal is sometimes called "disguised dismissal" or "quitting with cause". This is because it often occurs in situations where the employer offers the employee the alternative of:
leaving, or
submitting to a unilateral and substantial alteration of a fundamental term or condition of their employment
@ar quit or stick it out till the next workforce reduction - any bets on this happening by end of the year 2026? Vegas has the odds as being pretty high with CEP transitioning to monitor mode.
@aq I'm one of the "entitled" moved to a job I didn't sign up for. The only people who wouldn't understand are the ones who believe a job is a job, nothing more. Choose happiness.
My tune was different before yesterday.
There is not an option to change your mind and ask for EOI.
There is an option to quit.
All the people who were let go will be very annoyed with your entitlement.
Id ask
@ac I've been moved and salary/grade/title/etc have not been mentioned. Should I be concerned that's coming or would I know by now?
It says.you can tslk to hr if you got demoted or tok a pay cut
@aa refer to comments in post immediately below this one. Some people were happy in their current roles, which weren't eliminated, and they were moved somewhere else without being given a choice in the matter. Circumstances are now different than they were when the EOI was open.
OP, unfortunately no.
The literal reason we had to have work force reductions because of mo--ns like you.
