If you are remote you will get an email about a meeting but you won’t see the invitees. That’s a good heads up. Once you get there you will see some one from HR in attendance. Before anyone says a word, you should know the purpose of the meeting.
Good luck.
@g7 Doesn't matter. Then they shouldn't be allowed to operate in the United States and enjoy all the benefits of doing business in the United States, access to its markets, etc.
@af the CCT Ops team was not impacted. The CCX team was.
@et Here’s what the highest average annual salaries look like in some of the biggest tech companies (one L or 100,000 rupees is $1140.9 at todays exchange rate) so go figure why the company wants to offshore :
• Juniper – ₹29.2 L
• Meta – ₹27.7 L
• Adobe – ₹22.4 L
• Microsoft / Intel / Cisco / Accenture / Google / Oracle – ₹20 L
• Cognizant – ₹18.7 L
• Flipkart / Uber – ₹10 L
• Amazon – ₹9.54 L
• TCS – ₹8.02 L
• Infosys – ₹8.01 L
@b3 TMO opened an office in India and hired a VP and director and plans to hire full time employees there. The jobs were outsourced for cheaper labor.
@bh no unemployment until after your termination date. You are still considered an employee. The 60 day garden period is to meet the WARN act.
@bh In my layoff, severance wasn't a lump sum. As I was 18 years with TMO prior to getting let go, I was paid bi-weekly for six months.
I think they've gotten away completely from lump sum payouts. Much easier financially to take the charge over time rather than a lump sum charge for the 10% of IT that was laid off.
@bh varies by state
Does anybody know how it works with garden leave as far as claiming unemployment? I'm assuming that you can't claim until the October 13 final pay period since severance will be a lump sum?
@b5 it’s soooo much bigger than that. The entire APMO is being dismantled along with other things.
@af Looks like a lot of people in IT getting hit. I noticed that they are retiring a lot of our systems like C2, the hub, t-nation and magenta U and one more and moving it all into one website “magenta pulse” that manages all those applications instead. It’s kind of how they took digits and sync up apps and moved all of that into the T-Life app. There’s no longer two separate apps for those services, you manage them all in the T-Life app. So it makes sense that they’re downsizing. I wonder who they’re paying to launch the new magenta pulse web-based system, where we will go for all the services instead. Wondering If they hired an outsource team specifically for that, to then let go of the US based ones that managed the old systems.
Taxes and fees not included.
@ax encourage everyone you know to dump that carrier and their butt-kiss relationships with Musk and the Fed.
@ax sorry. I’m with ya. What a line of cr-p they fed us.
@OP Cut in Bellevue. Thanks TMO, "One Team"!
@ar Su-ks to be in the job market again, its not easy out there, sorry for all who got impacted, but the severance package really looks great compared to any other company out there...many places they let you out dry with a month max.
@at 2 weeks per year plus 8 weeks not to exceed 26 weeks.
@ar What is the Severance package? 15 days/1month salary per year worked?
@ac if you fall under Simon now expect to be cut. Sorry. No more remote workers allowed.
@aq my severance is stay on payroll until Oct 13 then severance kicks in. Partial 2025 bonus and 15 additional stock grants all vested immediately.
@OP Yup. I was hit by it. Hundreds were. Very upset people today. It’s ugly.
@am Unless it's been changed, you get 2 months garden leave (e.g. stay at home and do nothing) then severance based upon years of service, payout of any ESPP funds, COBRA paid by the Company for six months, your shares for this year immediately vest, and you lose all future shares.
If you're an employee, the package is laid out on the HR pages.
How much was the severance package that was offered?
Woops. I bet you thought the DTDL outsourcing was to augment the team...
It’s real. I got cut.
Can confirm the Technology department is being hit hard. DSS,NAS,EPM and CCT Ops teams all affected
@a7 As I experienced it, you're given some time to clean out the desk and then leave the office on the day of your "Org Update" meeting.
You get paperwork that discusses that you're getting 2 months of "garden leave" where you do no work at all (so they can comply with the WARN act). The document will also show whatever your calculated separation payout for severance and how any ESPP or other Shares will be paid out.
Good luck.
@ab I’m currently remote and was not laid off today. Wondering if I’m next though. Lost 1 co worker
Kevin Lau org (Former Matthew Davis org) all directors and most senior managers, some managers being let go. Some IC.
Hearing rumblings about RTO violators and remote employees being cut but not confirmed.
My teammate told me he was let go. Have not confirmed, but also have heard my manager was let go.
Thank you
Regarding the question about last day, I was told today is their last day from an impacted coworker
Any idea what last day worked will be for those that are impacted?
I have messages from 2 co-workers that were laid off today.

Yes, people getting calls now
If you look at Dan Sparks calendar he has 1115 minute increment meetings in a row.
