Looks like a massive fire at ES refinery. Hope everyone is safe.

@bw it’s real . You can Google it : In 2024, Chevron was recruiting for a Fire Protection Engineer in India through its Chevron Engineering (ENGINE) team in Bengaluru
Another problem for EMC to muck up. Or will they just take on the whole refinery cleanup now.
Let's kick off the ACCOUNTABILITY jargon now, shall we?
Glad no one was heard and there were no community impacts.
Did someone forget to tell the employee or contractor who was yapping to the press that we are not supposed to do that?
@bs it’s wild that I can’t tell if the “offshored the fire protection engineer” comment is real or satire.
It was a fire in the Isomax unit. Fortunately no one was hurt.
They literally offshored the fire protection engineering role to India 🤷🏽♂️ .. go figure
Really hope this is eating MW up inside. RESIGN you coward.
Someone needs to photoshop MW in front of the fire saying "Nothing to see here."
Let this be MW's legacy. Not the legacy of the dedicated and hardworking team at ES. Lay this at the feet of the of the leadership team and BOD.

Direct, Decisive, and Accountable?
Just another 2025 incident we won't hear about from Chevron. After a while we will get an email telling us to work safer.....and save more money.
Joking aside, the day after we are told to cut OE processes by 50%.....no guidelines or suggestions, just cut!
The ENGINE is putting out the fire using drones and robot fire fighters
@b4 can we remessage this a Opex savings?
@b7+1k6m6v9w9 yep, the new goal is to simplify OE process by 50%!!! This is just the beginning of the over simplification, not to mention cutting onsite personnel. Where is HSE now? India???
Thankfully no one was hurt.
Definitely not due to the lengthy report they held over everyone, because on day one of the NEW org we received all those messages of enthusiasm for what’s coming …unfortunately more bad days are coming unless real OE and tenets of operation are followed.
@OP What's McKinsey's take on this? Let's see how the new accountability model holds up. So glad we are saving on all salaries of those who got cut. Wonder how much revenue is going to be slashed while the facility is down for repairs. This one belongs to YOU, Mr. Wirth and your useless ELT and BOD lackies.
@ab This is just the beginning. More to come. If you all are going to continue working for a company that no longer cares about its employees, then you are going to have to start looking out for your own safety because there is no one left looking out for you. Good luck.
ENGINE forgot to turn a valve off remotely.
Do you think ENGINE called the fire truck?
Hope all are safe. Two days after HSE and PSM reorg lol
Everyone is accounted for.
First and foremost, I hope nobody was injured.
Second: Did we really not see this coming? With the incessant reorgs and layoffs, the lack of emphasis on OE, running refineries into the ground, and ZERO accountability from senior management, I can’t say that I’m surprised. Now watch as MW and AW spin this into a reason to avoid CIP payouts. This better result in some financial pain for these 🤡.

Are we winning in any environment yet? Hopefully ENGINE is all over this and taking command of the situation.
Big fire. Just google el segundo refinery. All over the news
