Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Citi contributes to mental illness for employees

Citi should be the last company to discuss or bring awareness to mental illness. For the past 3 years employees have been on the edge seeing fellow coworkers especially within the United States get impacted and their jobs being outsourced overseas. It is a never ending cycle that this company is causing. When will the “restructuring “ end? They are blaming Ai which might be a small percentage but the jobs are being shipped to other countries. Look at their career page. They don’t know what they are doing and that’s why there is no stability. As a matter fact Jane will never be Jamie Dimon if that’s what she is trying to pull.

@aw it's the cold hard truth brother. You're not going to change the culture at Citi, you're not going to even register as a blip if you tried to change the culture at Citi. So, why stay at a place that all you do is complain about how bad it is? Bizarre behavior.

Well, with people like Trump in the White House it is only natural that business will be growing elsewhere. Nationalist agendas do not help keep jobs in the country. They get rid of them.

@aa When will her tenure end? She was just elevated to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Jane is also an acolyte of WEF and McKinsey - she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Jane was put in that spot for a reason.

Life is tough and unfair - get a helmet and stop whining about your horrible job that pays 6 figures. Simple, if you don't like it - go somewhere else - very simple.

While your post is obvious, Citi management is full aware of this and they all know that you are aware of this. Its a tool, a tactic used to wear you down and run you off so that they don’t have to pay you severance. They are experts at it and we will all have to endure it.

Work will increase, deadlines will tighten, they will spin up more and more unnecessary meetings but tell you they are mandatory so that it’ll eat up the hours in the work day leaving you to work late into the night to get the actual work done followed by mandatory meetings early in the morning so that you can’t catch up on sleep.

There will be naysayers to my reply I’m sure all I can tell you is to wait and see. Management will know you are aware of this when it happens but it won’t change anything. You’ll hear more and more ‘just be glad you have a job’. There will be sycophant like impish managers who will be overjoyed at applying the pressure daily for nothing else but to watch everyone cower. Yes, these types of managers do exist in Citi and they really thrive on such environments. Again, you’ll see it for yourself one way or another. If not your own manager, then from other managers of other teams.
