VPN Issues

Hi - my VPN used to stay connected for about 20 hours. Now, if I go eat lunch for an hour and come back my emails haven’t updated and say no internet on Teams. This will happen after work as well. So basically it will stop connection if I’m away for more than an hour. Anyone else have this issue?

@a9 Ha! Probably got better answers here than tech could ever give. Gone are the days when someone actually assisted in a beneficial way. Systems designed for self serve yet all the information on the USB site changes before you can blink. Spend more time troubleshooting over working. That’s on USB.

They are monitoring vpn connectivity. Leaving your computer on and going absent for hours won’t work anymore.

My VPN becomes disconnected when I'm away from my computer for ~30 min or longer and I'm unplugged. If I'm plugged in it's fine

Joking, but there are some weirdos on here that think EVERY single "blip in the matrix" at the bank means they are getting ready to get rid of you.

Anyways, tech support. Yep. We used to have employees working as tech support ONSHORE who actually knew what they were doing. Not perfect but HE-L of a lot better than this sh-t we have since 2017.

But of course, execs at the top think they can get the same quality tech support from clowns in India or Phillipenes, people who probably never touched a computer in their lives. And of course these same id--t execs don't ever deal with tech support themselves, they pawn it off to admin assistants, or in the CEO's case, she has a dedicated tech support employee assigned just to her (unless they laid him off too, would not surprise me) so they don't see how utterly clueless ANY worker from those bottom barrel countries gets us.

Corporate America has morphed into a cancer over 40 years eating away at America. You can't make America Great Again unless you come down HARD on corporations, private equity, investment banks, hedge funds, and boards of directors. But that would go against Reagan and Jack Welch and the so-called great free market. So MAGA will never do that. They will just blame DEI, muslims, teachers, immigrants, litter boxes in high schools, and Starbucks.
