Managers receiving lists of employees who aren't on campus enough

I just heard from two different trusted sources that managers are receiving lists of employees who aren't on campus 4 days per week. Supposedly this is either already happening or will happen in all groups.

@k3 If a manager had people who were not meeting the 4 days a week threshold, those managers were given names and to instruct them to start coming in 4 days a week. I know of quite a few people who were specifically talked to by their managers.

Now managers do not have direct access to the badge reader data, but I'm going to guess that SVP and higher will be asking IT Security for quarterly data to see who is still missing the mark.

Yes, they are looking at this at higher levels, but mid-level mgrs aren't getting files with details on their employees (I asked my mgr directly). At division level, they checked to see if people are in on average 2.5 days a week (assuming people take time off or travel). In all of DEPP, for example, 11 people made the list of not hitting 2.5 days since Sept. It was my understand their managers didn't get those names - only that it was occuring and needed to be addressed (in general).

@fn

It absolutely does. Security can print a list of badges in any given building at any given time. It is regularly used for evacuation drills, has been for years.

For attendance tracking, they can also produce a list of every single badge read for a given person going back months or years. Every door and turnstile timestamped to the second.

@f6 you can 100% see who badged in where and when. As long as you know which building you want to look at, you can see who badged in/out and when.

Delegate one person from your group per week to swipe everyone in. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

My understanding is that the badging system does not have the granularity to make a list of employees who are in each building, however the system does yave the ability to alert on what percentage of a team is in the building where their group is. So as an example: the managers might only get alerted that only half the group is in the office on average. I think this is so unreliable due to many groups having teams that work in multiple buildings that they switched over to checking what wifi network each laptop is connected to.

@e8

I don’t know of any self-respecting person who was motivated by everyday wins. The awards were laughably small—$5 here or there or perhaps $100-200 if you had a major contribution that took months of effort. The program never should’ve been created in the first place but it was an even bigger mistake to ki-l it. Ki-ling it sent the message that 3Mers are not even worth a pittance.

More of BBs psyops shenanigans. He's irked more people didn't leave voluntarily when RTO was imposed. Just show up and quiet quit. When the weather gets better, take some walks across campus and then sit at a bench and send out a few emails from your phone.

He's run out of aces in the deck to please Wall Street so the guy is plotting his next moves during his three day weekends on his Florida yacht.

Sorry BB but 1000s of employees will play mind games against you. Treat people nice and bring back service dinners and everyday wins and see how much better productivity will happen. Otherwise people will double down on quiet quitting.

That happened a while ago. Its how they got their numbers at the last town hall saying there were 600+ people not on site that should be.

I'm a team manager & have received no such reports on folks badging into the office or not. Would like to know what org and level of leadership got them.

They went back to when RTO was announced last September. They took the average of those months and sent a notification to managers a list of people who were in less than four days a week. I'm guessing it was a one-time warning to those to start complying. Whether it affected their P4P or not, I don't know. My guess it will be at minimum a quarterly check and those still not in compliance will have written notifications and eventually termination.

@a9 not true, those that received 2’s on their PIP and have actively participated in 4 days RTO creates opportunities to look upward, their mgrs.

@a9 that's because they're trying to reduce headcount.

People who don't comply with things they don't like won't be driven out by it.

This has been happening and lead to a number of 2's on performance reviews. It is an expectation now!
