Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Saturday and Sunday are not enough

We need at least four days each week to recover from this place and what it puts us through on a daily basis.

@af

Could be. Could also be:
They don't know what to really say back, or
They are just too busy with additional work, trying to save their own job.

| oh and all the people you worked side by side with for 30 or so years, you get cut, they can't be bothered communicating with you.

I have noticed this. I've sent emails to survivors, saying that I enjoyed working with them and wish them well. A few respond. Perhaps they are afraid that layoffs are contagious?

Tell that to your manager and he/she will give you permanent vacation.

SIt sounds like you may not be cut out for corporate america. Perhaps try starting your own business so you can call your own shots?
