Lately I have been seeing ads talking about Edward Jones' midwestern values and St. Louis roots. This may have been true for a century. Since Penny took over as managing partner she has laid off St. Louisans in the home office and sent their positions overseas to India. Why does Penny not publicly advertise this? Instead the narrative is about Americana and American values. I guess when Penny promotes Edward Jones' midwestern values she is talking about our home based associates in Bhopal, India (you read that right, India, not Indiana, midwestern India). I wonder our American clients would feel if they knew their financial and personal information was being accessed by people in a third world country. Penny, just tell the truth. The whole truth. Penny, you took over a sleek yacht and in a few short years have turned it into the SS Minnow.

It’s not just Penny. Penny is NOT running the firm. Kristin (Robot) Johnson, David (Grimace) Gunn and the rest of the ELT are destroying the firm one decision at a time. In fact, if you ask the great Pepe le Penny Pew for any guidance or advice, she defers to ELT to “send her a summary” of their thoughts. It’s a disgrace. They’ve even discarded the meeting protocol that at least gave us Friday afternoons free of meetings. And don’t even think about taking a “firm no meeting day”. They insist on working those, and SO MUST YOU. I am disgusted with the firm and looking for a job elsewhere.

What she meant to say was, "We are one Edward Jones until I decide record net income and a bloated $29 million per year compensation package is not enough then whoever is left is one Edward Jones. Good luck to the rest of you guys." Penny needs to step down. She has done enough damage. No one respects her anymore. The people who are left do not even respect her. The news about what is going on at the home office and in India is starting to trickle out to the branch staff. The branch in RH, MO has taken down Penny's picture. It currently only has five of the six managing partner pictures hanging in it.

Penny definitely has ruined trust and pride that used to go along with working at Edward Jones. I know plenty of associates including myself who have quietly quit. I would advise do not officially quit. If you leave, make them pay you to leave. If you quit you are making their job easier for them.
