Got some documentation saying the discount will go from 30% to 50%. Took forever to find someone who even knew what I was talking about. Lady said that according to what she could find, and if she understood it correctly, the discount would take a couple of billing cycles to flow through. Assuming we might see it on the billing on the December bill if true.

Found this number and talked to a very nice lady. They handle all discount information for all services.
- Discount will start automatically November 1st for all qualified wireless retiree plans.
- Qualified plans are the newer ones. Called in a few months ago complaining about my bill. Found out I was on a old grandfathered plan. Switched to a newer comparable plan and actually saved money.
- If you are retired you might call in and find out what plan you are currently on and find out which newer comparable plan is available so that you can get the additional discount.
I like how they generalize “newest plans” without specifying WTF those anctually are.

Good luck with finding any definitive information. I literally got bounced around to a dozen people before I got the last lady and she found some documentation that she didn’t seem 100% sure about. And I only asked about the bigger discount. As someone said there are probably some exceptions and strings attached.
Leg T union workers get 50% discount but after retirement, we only get 40% discount. For so many reasons this f'n $ux and it's a slap in the face.

The strings attached might be that you have to be 65 and eligible for Medicare! I heard this from another thread! May not be true. Those that retired at 50 or 55 may not be able to take advantage of this offer.
You can literally beat even the 50% discount almost everywhere else, so much ado about nothing here.
