Given how crude and perfid the RIFs have been so far, I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't really the case. But here's hoping.

@a8 there is no logic at work here. There is only self-preservation of the executives and the board of directors. They are all malignant narcissists who will do anything to keep their life styles intact. They have unleashed misery on untold numbers of employees who are facing real struggles to make ends meet while they pack their bags for their company paid ski trip to Switzerland for them and their partners, spouses, etc.. While the recently laid off stare down their budgets, thinking about which items to eliminate, Stephanie, Bob and the rest will be headed down the slopes or shopping in the very expensive boutiques while laughing and slapping each other on the back at a job well done.
Can someone tell why they have terminated the guys who are in l1 visa. That's a fis sponsored visa. Don't they know that these guys need to go back to their country? What was the logic behind it?
