If you can find me someone that has left a townhall in the last 5-6 years saying "that was amazing ... I had no idea we were doing that ... so inspiring ...", I'd love to meet them. Doesn't count if the person is a new hire. It's all new to them so spare me with their excitement.
These things are pointless, yet they keep doing them every quarter acting like it will positively change the org. It's a check the box exercise. And the fake laughter between panels is nauseating and the "only have a few minutes left for questions" is now routine. They always skip the top ranked questions anyway. Why again are they using this ridiculous tool?
Just end it already. Nobody listens or pays attention. We're simply waiting for someone to say the wrong thing and then roast them during our "in-person collaborations with our peers" 8-5, M-F. Joking, of course. We only collaborate on Teams. In the office, 8-5, M-F.
