I left eight months ago. The top brass don't know what they're doing. If you're not near retirement, staying at T doesn't make any sense.

I am near retirement and I resigned. There is nothing worth staying to achieve retirement eligibility.
SpaceX or T. rex. Read it and weap Johnny!
Oh oh. Take the money and run!
@bz Ok Joel Osteen.
@c6 living in the past. this place hasn't been "paying well" for quite some time. other companies are very willing to pay more and give more office flexibility. the days of us being at the top of the pay scale died in 2010s - especially in Atlanta, Dallas, etc. markets.
I'm staying. I'm productive here and it pays me well.
There are always options.
You have to be motivated to finding and weighing them for yourself, and willing to make moves.
Be bold.
Your life takes you where you steer it to go.
You are not just some passive passenger, along for the ride.
You are the captain of your own ship.
LIVE your life!

- Watch things happen,
- Make things happen,
or - Wonder what the he-l happened."

Left 8 months ago but still looking back. Pathetic.
“The top brass don’t know…...” we got a real Einstein over here.
You cant just leave without a plan. I am sure 50% wants to leave, with the exception of those waiting it out closer to their retirement, by all means, you need to stay. The rest of us? the reality is harsh.
I'm staying. We make communication go.
I am stuck without any other options.
OP is right on, and all the rankings provided by independent business monitoring sources confirm this. AT&T is no longer a leader in anything. Get out while you're young. The benefits of a career at AT&T have been taken away, and the people at the top do not want you to make a career at AT&T. They believe employees are plug and play, and do not believe in institutional knowledge anymore. Leave when you can, while you can.
Ok.
You do you.
