Will likely coincide with the next reorg. It was supposed to be May 1st, but they couldn’t get it aligned in time.

@eh we just got an email that we would be notified who (which nurses) would be selected to participate in the coming future. Seemed very odd.

What’s with this mandatory empathy meeting email that went out this morning and given two hours to respond to which session you’d attend next week? Whole dept got it?

The dates in the WARN notice are termination dates. The folks affected have likely already been notified.

Certainly there could be additional layoffs this month with June termination dates. People are usually told on a Thursday and given 30-60 days notice, which is why some of the dates mentioned below are Sundays, etc.

@bb And every Thursday of the month they avoid the Warn Act since at least 2024 when the mass layoffs started

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act of 1988 is a federal law that protects workers and their families from the impact of mass layoffs and business closures. It requires employers with 100 or more full-time employees to provide written notice at least 60 calendar days before a mass layoff or plant closure. The notice must be sent to employees, state, and local representatives.

Cigna and every corporate company has their ways in avoiding the warn act.

What exactly is the Warn Notice? And why would they wait until 5/20 if it was supposed to be yesterday?
