Thread regarding PNC layoffs

At least buy me dinner first

2% annual raise AND a 5 day RTO?
This place never fails to amaze me lol 😂

The lowest raise possible even after exceeding expectations, buying a new bank, record profits, and an ATH stock market price… literally RUN if you think of staying or applying here.

Oh and I get to use that raise for the new parking garage fees :) bill u sly dog u…

What's this talk of exceeds? our org doesn't know that word ha! it's only meets. We've all asked what it takes to get exceeds and no one in management knows.

@OP I agree with this post in addition the c suite will give themselves raises this year between 10-20%. Where all they are the talking heads of the company if they actually had to do the work they would panic and complain.

And at that dinner table I bet PNC president Mark Wiedman would ask if you prefer boxers or briefs.

@bm The reorg into CIB happened in Aug/Sept, before ratings were finalized, so there was nothing to carry forward. By Feb, I was told the CIO “doesn’t know us yet.” After several months, that explanation feels… thin.

Pay just enough to keep you, work just enough to not get fired. That’s the labor market forces at work, right?

Funny how 1-2% merit increases were never cited as a layoff-avoiding conspiracy to make people leave.

@a7 That su-ks. At least in our group, if you were rated an exceeds in your prior org, that carried to ours with no debate from what I heard. Maybe it is CIO dependent? (I can think of one in particular)

The 2% has been ‘tolerated’ in the past because we were given flexibility of working from home. Obviously it benefited the company since record highs have always been reported. The same 2% year after year will not cover RTO. PNC ‘leaders’ need to regroup and rethink the requirement of RTO quickly.

I got only $1500, that is 1.25% merit increase. I hope I can get laid off soon, no plan to work in office for 5 days, that is impossible for me to spend 3 hours on the highway and pay tolltag $10. Please layoff me soon. Don’t like this job and don’t want to work here any more.

Same 2%.
Got re-org’d, which conveniently made us ineligible for exceeds/promo/raise because the new CIO “doesn’t know us.”
Funny how that works.
