@bf what a cluster in terms of the planning. I bet they spent atleast $20M on engagement with management consultants (Mckinsey/BCG/Bain/Accenture) on this as well whom are supposed to be experts at helping orgs and leaders manage this stuff....

Besides Ryan Beach who was never deactivated the list of others no longer show “deactivated” on slack. Do you think they reactivated them so we wouldn’t know?

interesting tracking which VPs are being cut - i think it should give us a look into what groups are being targeted. i think if your VP is still here after today that’s a good sign.

@a7 did VP of merch for E&B and F&B also get let go (non planning). Ryan Beach for example
@ae SVP and HR leaders knew folks who will let go last week. Today is VP and tomorrow rest.
What's also confusing is there seems to not be consistency in when the emails are going out (4pm today? 7am tomorrow?) and if everyone is getting a meeting invite, either invited to layoff group or the safe group.
Does this mean the actual layoffs are happening today and not tomorrow?
How do we know L8 and below is tomorrow?
@a8 So unfortunate. He's the nicest person you'll know and was recently promoted to that role. Target did a weird thing where they added a layer on top of him as an SVP, but only bc she'd been at TGT for so long, that they wanted to give her a place to be. Should gotten rid of her and kept Brad in.
