Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

The beatings will continue until morale improves

So U.S. Bank has gone back on their agreements with their employees, has NOT "done the right thing," has NOT "put people first" and now when morale is down because of it it's our fault and it's not up to management to improve morale.

Might I suggest morale is down because we have leaders like Jodi Richard's.

It's suspicious to me that there even is kool aid at USB. We're not innovators, we're not leaders in anything, everything the company does is either following trends or building inefficient and generally worse processes than the rest of the market. We're not doing anything groundbreaking or at a scale that other companies don't exceed. The pay and benefits aren't particularly good, so that's no reason for company loyalty. Leadership hates employees and refuses to listen to them, and it shows. The only reason someone might behave like they drank the kool aid is if they're upper management themselves, or maybe they're in HR with a job to do damage control on social media, and they're particularly bad at their job.

We have to post anonymously for fear of our jobs (until we find new ones) because US Bank company culture now is one of fear, retaliation and intimidation and not open communication.

Sometimes it's cathartic to commiserate with others when you're being gaslit as hard as US Bank employees are being now (morale is not low, layoffs are great because the Bank is growing and RTO is the best thing since sliced bread)

So sad...this company used to have at least some loyalty to employees.
