Does anyone know or heard a number on how much Centene is trying to downsize? Ive seen articles but they are very hush hush about the target number... only that our membership has decreased by 6%.

@ax With her only making 20 million last year, I am concerned. I hope she was able to pay her rent and pay her electrical bill. [/sarcasm off]
@b5 population health and clinical operations
@ag what is PHCO
@av so in order to cut cost they should cut the ceo salary, she only made 20 million last year.
I guess we can thank trump for this
"Centene, a massive provider of government-sponsored healthcare, is navigating significant operational shifts under the Trump administration's health and budget policies. With major federal budget cuts to Medicaid and changes to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the insurer has experienced steep membership losses and is actively undergoing corporate restructuring.Centene & The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)Enrollment Drops: The expiration of enhanced ACA tax credits alongside Trump's budget packages has forced many consumers to confront higher premiums. Consequently, Centene—one of the nation's largest ACA marketplace insurers—lost over 2 million members, seeing its exchange enrollment drop from roughly 5.6 million to 3.6 million.Repricing and Layoffs: Because of sicker member pools and lost subsidies, Centene has been forced to reprice its health plans and offer companywide employee buyouts to cut overhead costs."

@a8 thanks for sharing. is that enterprise wide?
Anyone else on leave that can tell me where we can access this email? I’m on maternity leave and trying to figure out what’s happening. I don’t have access to anything.
PHCO UM had quiet layoffs in May
25% of my team was going to be eliminated prior to this most recent development and the final decision was out of leaders hands. I think it depends on business area. with the push of AI, and the “next phase of AI” post last week on CNET, none of this isn’t surprising.
I guesstimate they are looking to get rid of anywhere between 3k and 6k employees total. May the odds be ever in your favor.
I’ve heard all departments and units org wide had to clear anywhere from 15% to 25% of budget
@a6 case management?
@a7 Boston Consulting Group had been doing a big enterprise project to restructure CM for a few months. Meeting with lots of health plans and departments. It's the only actual restructuring effort I've heard of. The rest has just been about cutting $.
@a6 what leads you to think CM will be hit the hardest?
The target $ for my department equated to about 15%. Rumors say some departments / subsidiaries have higher or lower numbers. Sounds like CM is likely to be hardest hit.
They are most likely targeting a $ number rather than headcount.
