Just read WSJ article 04.15 by Chip Cutter. Y’all should be happy if you still have a job; especially in tech.

Who wants to pay for 10k heads when 3k can do the job? Better earnings
@af false. I agree that tech management su-ks a-s, but technical leadership is hot garbage as well. The caste system favors cr-p politica over good ideas or talent. Anytime that there are talent IC's around they push them do they won't look bad by comparison. It is real and systemic problem that infested tech from the star. Other place like MS have similar systems but they have A & B talent level players. Nike has C to E talent. That makes a big difference. Maybe the only way to fix is to burn it to the ground and start over
Nike is clearly in structural decline. The incompetence internally is astounding and we definitely do not have the talent in place to turn around the company.
Our tech organization is a laughing stock. But I’ll be more specific. There’s a lot of really good individual contributors I global technology, but the director level and especially the senior director and VP level in technology have some of the lowest IQ mouth breathers that you’ll meet in your entire life.
Here’s the hoping the cuts in GT are the entire leadership team
@a6 living in your mothers basement?
Big companies are cutting staff, and at big numbers yes
But smaller companies are hiring, at least that's the projection, creating more jobs than the number lost from the big companies
I haven't seen total proof of this, maybe shades of it, let's hope its true for the sake of the economy!
@OP Hey you read one article and now you're a genius, congrats! Too bad you can't spell layoff and don't know how to use a semicolon.
