@c6 There has never been a layoff of this scale either. I am just hypothesising how they could conduct 1:1 layoffs for 20-30k employees. It will too much of a burden on a Sr.Director or higher to do 1:1s for all their reportees.
I am not making a comment on when it might happen though.

@b0 not the case. Never done by managers or sr managers. They are not in the know until their report is RIF.
@b0 this is not accurate from past layoffs. It is usually someone higher up the leadership chain than just a manager or sr manager. I would expect Sr Director at minimum and likely a VP or SVP to be doing the layoffs.
I don't see any evidence yet on here or Reddit that today is it. Whoever started to chaos this weekend you su-k.
It's a subject with`Business Update' usually where there is a larger group of people on the call that will be informed of their pending dismissal. It would not be possible to do on 1:1s for all staff of it's true they are targeting 34k
@ac Every manager will do it for their directs. Doing a conservative estimation of 20 directs under a manager and a 20% cut, that'll be 4 1:1s for that person. It should take 1 hour. They might do it over 2 days. 1 for ICs and 1 for managers.

good point, theres no way that could be done manually.
They will try to use chat.oracle.com to do it.
Are 100% sure Oracle would even do 1:1s if the 30k impacted number is real? Can HR/Management even staff that many 1:1s?

RE: 1-on-1, Unless they push them out all at once, tomorrow is probably not the day. We get to simmer in this stew a bit longer.
My manager told me to not push it tonight and take the night off when he saw my slack status online. Not sure if that’s a sign?
