US billing and payment is moved to Provo. Did those employees get canned or are they expected to move to Provo?

Eventually OpenText will have no employees on the US coasts. It’s just too damn expensive.
@e1 there is a large team there for billing operations - workerbees. Assume they are gone.
I think they are closing menlo park. It was mainly an executive office and there is a shift towards moving the c suite to Canada. CEO, cfo, chro, cmo are already gone and the few remaining are expected to follow
@cx valid - but I think most of Cali OT wont find it $400 round flight or logistically impossible supper commute nice.
Unless those Cali guys got notice before it was confirmed you have 10 days to take severance or bleed out. Assuming there's no shenanigans and there's plenty of room. If it really was a regional headquarters others are likely getting involved along the way.
I wonder if that means other states with multiple get consolidations.

@a6 I 100% get the sentiment, but if there's not a movement request it's either going to be a bunch of people with a learning curve (as well as potentially the same issues) or it gets completely off-shored. Which rn would be India or APAC.
This is a 12 hour drive/daily 4 hours plane level distance though. Even if OT gave them a request to move, that's about as financially unfeasible as it gets. This one does seem to be a fairly extreme move. Online Menlo Park is deemed a regional headquarters. So a full, sudden closure is odd.
They are supposed to get fired. A $900 payment could take 6 month to complete. That’s not acceptable. I’ve been chased by the vendor month by month. Sent emails and chats to those people in payment department. No response, forwarded my request to Israel team, romania team, wth
it’s just one of examples. Terrible department, deserved to let go
