What a horrible day, I am safe… but my friends were cut and it just feels like a death. NO ONE deserves to be without a job right before Christmas.

Consumer re-org will be announced tomorrow.
Not sure on HR,Network,finance etc but consumer will be switched up completely.

@a3 That is my biggest issue now, people think “I won” by staying BUT who is going to do all this work? Not me, that’s for sure.
I will quit in a heartbeat, if you think I will take on the job of the 2 other in my team.
I don't know how I feel. I feel nothing, not happy, not sad, not angry, not scared - yet almost 3 hours after notification my upper arms are still trembling. I suppose we all take the news and the change differently. My Director was really upset. Over 2 decades in her org, she has always been a great boss, a genuinely good person, and rock solid - until today. I think I feel worse for her having to do this than I feel for myself as recipient of the deed.
To all those impacted today, I wish for you positive thoughts. It is not much but it is all I can do.
I feel bad that I got a raise. But now I’m doing work of 3 people.
