I am in a business area where I believe my role and most but not all within the L8 team I’m on are “safe” for now due to Q4 support. However, that is likely not the case come Jan/Feb. I hope/believe that our team will realize this and adjust their level of effort and support/availability outside of business hours this Q4. No need to overextend yourself to just be let go in Jan/Feb. I am also pacing my work according to the announcement timing I’m expecting…I’ll just leave peak support tasks undone until after any cuts are made next week. If I’m let go, then someone else can figure it out. I’ve deleted my entire One Drive (can sync again if you want). No need to pass off files to your leader if your role isn’t needed.

Can’t imagine how low morale is going to be for Q4 for those that remain. So much for “ki-ling it in Q4” this year. Surely when things don’t go well for the holidays we can be on the lookout for even more layoffs early next year. This is going to be brutal. Hopefully this teaches everyone remaining a lesson about corporate jobs. There’s no loyalty, you’re just a number, and take care of yourself. Target doesn’t care about anyone.
@a6 sure it's flagged... but does it matter? it only goes to your direct manager. and they're doing the same thing right now.
What benefit is there in deleting your OneDrive? If you’re gone, why do you care?
DO NOT email anything to your personal email, this will be flagged by security. Do not recommend such ignorant things.
Just a tip - anything important on your Target email or on the common drive? Start sending to your personal email. If you are let go you may have only one hour after your notice before all access to systems are shut off.
Deleting your files is a great way to burn a bridge and sc--w over those left behind.
