Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Offer Rescinded - due to layoffs?

I was due to start with HCSC on the Dearborn side as a Claim Technician on Monday, October 6th. I received this email today:

"As you were previously informed via email on October 3rd, 2025, HCSC has rescinded your offer of employment.

This decision cannot be reviewed or appealed, and we are unable to disclose any further information.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused."

That's it. No other email, no reason why. Are the layoffs happening company-wide or specific only to the Cigna acquisition?

Former Employee: HCSC was once a good place to work but greed and poor leadership as destroyed what the Retirees have built. Outsourcing for cheaper wages and cutting corners as well as from the Health Side, denying payment for Services is coming now with HCSC

@ag I received the email that my background check came back and cleared. I was able to go on Workday and do all of the onboarding stuff prior to class starting on Monday. It wasn't the background check.
