Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Place your bets.

Two of our branch colleagues were ki-led today, so place your bets. How long until the company's "deep mourning" ends and their jobs are listed in the career hub?

@ef The fact that it didn't reopen was their entire point. Learn reading comprehension.

I’m sure we will all be asked to donate to support their families. Can’t cut into GKs bonus or that record profit.

My heart goes out to these people and their loved ones. USB doesn’t pay me enough to take a bullet. I’d offer to help the criminals carry the cash to their car. Kentucky only requires the Bank to pay 2/3 of the salary until the kids turn 18 or the widow remarries. If these people were single they get nothing except the funeral expenses. You can be sure the Bank would probably make it as cheap as possible, carry out pizza and grocery store flowers. I worked at another company where an engineer was ki-led at work (electrocuted). The company CEO personally attended his funeral, established full scholarship funds for both of his sons, and created a memorial internship. GK’s assistant will send a copilot written card with her signature stamped on it.

It’s really terrible to die at work for a company that does not care for you. I feel very sad for the family members.

Somebody died on the job, they will get replaced right away. Everyone is replaceable. The only people who will mourn forever is their family. Now the question is why can’t US Bank protect their employees? Will this happen again to others? Can family file a lawsuit?

This is awful business. These are our people. Somber day tomorrow for anyone with a heart. I won't be thinking about my job, sorry about it & I hope there is some kind of empathetic response. Pray for our colleagues' families.

It is so sad I hope the company takes care of there families. If you added up all the money the board of directors make they can support both of there families. Sad day another reason why corporate greed needs to end.

I would be surprised if they even keep the branch open. Look up Norfolk Nebraska bank robbery.
