I know it wasn’t about my performance, but it still stings. Whether you want it to or not, it makes you feel invalidated. And by all accounts, finding another job isn’t going to be easy. It just su-ks.

Try having your position already back filled , that really stings.

Job loss can be devastating. Depression and anxiety are common. Your feelings are completely normal, and you’re in good company because they are 13,000 of us.
Take the time you need to process your feelings and practice self-care. The only way to get to the other side is through.
Once you’re situated in your new job, you won’t give Verizon a second thought. You got this!
Verizon does not define who you are. Keep up your head up !
I went on FMLA early November and milking verizon for 100% pay for 8 weeks.

Having worked in IT for 30+ years, been through several RIFs. The first few I took personally but eventually learned to just accept them as part for the course.
