Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Hold!

As I enjoy the peace and quiet of the office at 7am I’m reminded of that scene from Braveheart. The English charging on horseback. William Wallace and his merry band of highlanders waiting for the inevitable sla-ghter.

Wallace imploring his warriors to HOLD the line, HOLD … and then bam up come the long spears and the tide is turned.

We must do the same my friends. Do not give into these cowards, those that want to take our freedoms and treat us like children.

Do not resign under and circumstances. They will be forced to capitulate if we stand together. Want us to quit DF? Kiss my hairy ar$e.

You're not thinking like a slimy NYC banking exec, OP. If voluntary attrition doesn't increase, they won't feel 'forced' to roll back the abuse, they'll be encouraged to abuse us MORE. That's what Shart has done since he got here. The sc--ws only get tightened, never loosened. Once they feel like that's no longer effective enough, they'll shrug and begrudgingly pay the last survivors their severance. In the end, we all go.

In this job market, if I can even find a job that matches my current salary and PTO, I'd still be giving up the safety net of 10 years of service severance. Whatever job I took, I'd be first in, last out. I hate it here but there's way too much risk in changing jobs right now.

Once the market shifts I'm sure a bunch of people will be heading out the door given how miserable working here has become. But at the moment, trying to get more attrition out of the current workforce is trying to squeeze blood from a stone. Ain't going to happen.

@be , tradition advice sure, but not hardly the best. This is how people get locked into jobs, feeling like there is no way out. Always quit a job when you feel like it regardless of situation. Anyone with any sand to themselves will make any situation work.

@a4 Never quit a job unless you have another job lined up or you have your finances in order.

Don't worry, if enough of the aggrieved dont quit theyll get canned and then they will wonder where all those jobs are that allow you to work whenever and wherever you want.
