I’m not sure if this has already been asked or answered, but I’m wondering—if you choose any dates after March (when bonuses and pay increases usually hit), does the amount you receive go up?
@wj sorry what doesn’t make sense? Some people got the email about the staggering months and some didn’t
@OP I did not accept the VSP and hanging on wondering and waiting for lay offs. Discussed during team meeting. PL was out. Managers under her said we know nothing and they don’t. I’m preparing for the worst and hoping for the best while actively looking for and having no luck getting other job.
@az I am wondering the exact same thing.
@OP this makes zero sense
@v7 Maybe your team doesn’t need to be staggered as far as the end date. Maybe the end date is the original Sept 4th. I think a lot of people didn’t get the staggered email one, so could be just them applying for it.
Applied to accept VSP and no email received as of this morning since the VSP deadline end date.
@sz This email about staggered dates is 100% true. I received one and the page has you put in order which month from 1st to last you prefer to leave.
i think this whole email thing is a lie. tbh.
Some of my co-workers received the email with the form asking for their preferred separation date. I didn’t get the email though and elected the VSP, so I wonder what that means.
I am in medical management/concurrent review department. Have any of you who have received the email that you were accepted for VSP working in this department and if so, did the email that you were accepted come to your centene email or personal email?
@g6 it came to my Centene email
For those of you who got the email asking to pick your dates, was the email sent to your centene email or to your personal email?
@e9 tell me you don’t know how taxes work without telling me you don’t know how taxes work lol
@az @az Based on the changing dates, they underestimated the number of people who would accept so they had to create the stagger dates. I also believe that some people who accepted will be rejected and laid off or fired to avoid paying them what they are looking to get from the VSP. They are basically going to use the accepted VSP individuals until they complete the end date or quit. The agreement wording will determine if you will receive the severance if you quit before the agreed upon separation date or you forfeit it if you leave before the agreed upon separation date.
For those who received the email to pick your date - What department are you in or what role?
@b3 the incentives work in their favor, not ours.
One lump sum payout, taxed as such, probably 40% or more to taxes!!!
@an Wow 🤯.
@az That is why this company is a piece of sh*t!!!
@a4 thats indeed a sweet deal. but there’s always a catch. i wonder if one chose that separation date, would the enhanced benefit apply still?
if involuntary layoffs will happen before then, will you be getting the enhanced benefit too?
i have so many questions
@av I was on STD when I got the initial VSP information.
There are tax incentives which makes the VSP math work in their favor. The staggering is to maximize taxes. Apparently there was more VSP acceptance than anticipated. What will be interesting is if they do layoffs while VSP employees are still working till 2027. You would assume this would mean non VSP would be safe for another year, but …
What department are you in? I am a CM RN and no word.
@az maybe it means no layoffs possibly and just the ones who accepted the VSP go?
I wonder if we didn’t get the email that means we are denied the vsp
I’m really trying to wrap my brain around this: so they offer a VSP to 61k employees , and those who basically aren’t happy with the company or this process that decided to accept the VSP, are not only given a sweeter package, but they are also being held on to work anywhere from Sept 2026 to Nov 2027? Yet those who chose to stay and not take the VSP, those who like the job and who have faith, can be let go as soon as Aug with no sweeter deal and no extended time to work? What am I missing here? This does not make any sense to me. It’s like rewarding the ones who took VSP and punishing those who chose to stay.
@OP just curious what time the email was sent out?
@av it came through by the system.
Centene VSP vsp@internal.centene
Who sent the email? I am on STD and I'm worried that I won't get the email.
@ar 😂
The email says it has been sent to targeted employees who applied to the VSP. So it hasn’t been sent to everyone that applied for the VSP and if you didn’t apply, you most likely did not get this email.
@ak We (the company) has initially accepted your December 31st, 2032 date. But I am sorry, you are now going to have to wait until July 31st, 2034 regarding the earliest you can be notified.
For the marketing dept the people that applied haven’t heard anything yet. No email with dates or anything.
I’m in CM and did not receive this email. I wonder if that means my VSP has been approved for 9/4?
This is another trick for people that accepted it to get fed up and leave and forego the severance. How can you get another job if they keep moving the goal post?🤔😉🤔
@ak 😭
I would like December 31, 2032 please.
I am in authorization/correspondence on the PHCO side
Can y’all tell us what roles you’re in that would be helpful
For those of you that received this email - did you accept the VSP or not? That's an important part to share - if you didn't accept the VSP and are getting this email, is that an indicator that you're part of the future involuntary layoffs?
