Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Does Nike follow the WARN Act?

“The WARN Act offers protection to workers, their families, and communities by requiring employers to give a 60-day notice to the affected employees and to both state and local representatives prior to a plant closing or mass layoff.”

So far Nike has not filed a WARN notice. Should we expect to see it if anything happens?

@OP every time this has happened, they file the WARN notice the day of. So you are let go the same day if it happens then paid for 2 months.

@a3 For those two months you are still technically employed, and can claim as such. It's literally 2 months of free pto

sounds good in theory, and it's not bad really, but looking for work while unemployed is far more stressful then fearing a layoff
