Was laid off last Wednesday with the rest of the team. Was told HR would help with finding employment and it was encouraged to communicate with hiring managers. How can I communicate without slack/internal email? Also, I need remote employment and none of these other jobs offer remote. They simply don’t care about members and their own employees. So much for the culture and leadership. This place will go down. It is just a matter of time!

For those impacted, that is wild, definitely did not happen when our team was laid off last year. Just wanted to share, if you have the opportunity to work with an external career coach, offered through USAA, I highly recommend! I think they give you 3 one hr sessions, I did 6 half hour sessions. The external coach definitely has capacity to support us vs internal HR rep assigned.
@ay The bonus was the rude wake up call that the company is the Titanic.
Everyone reading these forums should know that it's closing time and you're next up.
Other than execs from external companies, those sociopaths get the bonuses while this association meant to protect "our own" dies an ugly death.

I was told the very same thing! Reach out to hiring managers, your HR rep will help you get interviews, etc etc
But kind of hard to do that when your access to email & slack are taken away.
I can’t even sign on, kicks me right out.

That sound like an oxymoron. You should email/call HR and ask how to communicate with someone about internal jobs without outlook/slack??
That’s pretty stupid that they tell you to communicate, but they cut you off in communication
