Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

You can exceed all your goals and still lose your job

How many times have we seen that already? Being good at your job just puts a target on your back. They don't want good, they want cheap.

Being mediocre is perfect. Being good scares the management that you will outshine them. Keep your head down. Do your job and nothing else. Be a happy three. Keep your mouth shut have no ideas. Nod and agree. That will keep you safe.

And being good at your jobs irrelevant if they dont need that job, or at least the same number of people doing that job, any more.

@a3 When they got laid off, did they get severance?

At the same time, being good at your job doesn't mean you'll get an exceeds.

Basically, they've created a system where the performance review and grade doesn't mean squat. Rendering them the whole process obsolete.

Just give me my comp numbers because that's the real and only story now and they aren't corelated with the review grade.

As hard as it is to get an exceeds, I know someone that just got an exceeds and laid off last week. Mind boggling.
