@x0 absolutely. They will let anyone go, you could be a top performer but if they can add your work to other people and save the cost of your salary they 100% will. Never think you are value to them.

@pa doesn’t everyone understand YOUR manager may not be here tomorrow? You may be managed but someone you have never heard of who does not know you at all. There are going to be a lot of people managing folks soon who do not know and they’re only going to have data like Sapience to guide them. It’s amazing to me how many people on here act like people who aren’t good employees are the only ones let go. I have been here a long time and when HCL was brought on lots of great employees were let go. Hard working , smart, ambitious employees. So YES they are paying attention to Sapience. I’m glad my manager is at least showing us what they are paying attention to and talking about it. Sounds like a lot of your managers are keeping you in the dark.

@kx I am not entry level at all. I also NEVER use my laptop for anything personal, but sometimes work things show up as private. Like using google is considered private. I use my personal iPad when I visit this site. I am not hourly. I am a salaried employee. Our whole team had Sapience installed at the same time.

@kx I am guessing you are new and in entry level position. Don’t use your laptop for ANYTHING personal. If you have a manager who reviews this weekly with you, are you on performance improvement or do you have a micro manager who is trying to be relevant?

I'm not KX, but I was salary+commission sales and we had Sapience on our computers.

Nobody in management cares if you visit this site.

They might care if you spend significant time on sites unrelated to your job duties, doesn't matter if it's CNN, tiktok, reddit or this site.

If you are doing your job nobody is going to bother looking at your activities. If your manager is, then you are probably already on "the list" of low performing employees.

Months away from bankruptcy and this is what "management" is focused on? SB is an incredible nitwit.

I have sapience on my laptop and my manager reviews the data with me every week, as well as everyone else. Trust me, your managers ARE paying attention to the data. If you are inactive for more than 3 minutes your time shows as Unaccounted and they wants as little unaccounted time as possible. So make your bathroom breaks fast. It also shows any personal sites (banking, the news, etc) and that shows as Private time. They want none of that.

@ec+ To reiterate, they are about to fire several thousand people. Logging onto this site from your work computer is just really, really d-mb, and you are kind of asking for it. I guess there is some sort of disconnect between how you perceive XRX and reality. Are they that petty, mercurial, and desperate? Yes! I've seen Sapience in action and spoken to my manager that confirmed they do get pretty detailed, granular reports. Managers don't ask for these reports, they are just delivered to them.

But hey, don't believe me and keep posting on here from your work computer. If they can you, ask them in the exit interview what role your Sapience report played int the decision.

@b6 as poorly run as Xerox is that level of paranoia and pettiness seem far fetched even for them. they block adult sites gambling and things you should be fired for visiting anyway already.

"I would be very surprised if anyone is is looking at the files or logs created. They may look at a certain targeted person to find a reason for whatever they want to do. but not everyone..."

Sounds like you are using you work computer to type this. They are going to fire THOUSANDS of people in the next 60-90 days. The fact you would be 'very surprised' they might be looking at the logs and URLs is sad.

Need some extra anonymity? Have you tried Piglatin? Nine out of seven dentists agree that no xerox manager could possibly decipher more than 5 words of Piglatin without losing consciousness! Why not use the online 2 way English to Piglatin app? It’s like the xerox Translate and Print App but with no print and almost as annoying so millennials love it!
Remember, if it’s worth saying it’s worth saying in Piglatin!

Yes, I do. It's automated with Sapience. If you log onto this site on your work computer and talk sh-t or gossip about XRX, your name, and comments are on a list. They are about to fire 1000's of people, they are looking for a reason. Also, if they deem your comments to be libelous, or harmful, they cn fight your unemployment when they will absolutely fire you.

Seriously, are some of you guys getting on this site on your work computer or network?

It's SaaS. You access the network or shared apps like O365, it accesses your laptop. Also, pretty sure the original responder is not a developer, just a hunch.

It is not on every computer. Many developers install Linux and are in complete control of their development machines. The windows laptops are a different story since they are made from an image controlled by
Xrx.

It is on yours. Sapience is on every Xerox computer. Spyware doesn't come with a desktop icon. It runs in the background. You can thank Munu and ITsavvy for that, They've had it for years, and now it's on your computer.

It seems that very few people actually understand how freedom of speech works. Crazy considering how often it comes up these days. I suspect many that don’t quite get it are not from the US.

@a3 You have the right to voice your opinion. You don’t have the right to make someone pay you to voice your opinion about them.
